Audience Aquistion: Interactive PerformaceThe exhibition "Without You I'm Nothing" at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago was about audience participation and engagement with the artwork. The curators had chosen works of art that required audience participation in order to be “complete” or properly experienced. Thus, we determined, the role of the museum as an institution to protect, conserve and present cultural artifacts and artworks must also protect and conserve it’s most valuable asset: the viewing, participating patrons.
