BREATH

Through the lens of a glassworker, breath is a skill and a livelihood. An exhale is a commodity, a transactional expression of pressure that provides the volume that will be shaped by another's hand. The assistant's breath literally gives spirit to the object at the gaffer's hand.

These objects are the shattered and fused skin of my breath, hot glass shaped from within, with nothing but the force of an exhale.
